Design of specialty structures, such as signs, is an area where the firm works directly with the owners. The 1960s brought the concept of Corporate Identity to Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Ross Bryan Associates, Inc., was hired first by Ford in 1968 and then General Motors in 1969 to design signs for their dealerships. Over the years since, the firm has provided design for over 15,000 dealerships in the U.S. The twin-column support system is the familiar “Mark of Excellence”, which is currently used by General Motors. In 1998, the firm began a four-year redesign of the Ford Motor Company Corporate Identity Program.
