About This Project

McWhorter Hall houses the School of Pharmacy, School of Physical Therapy, and the Department of Physical Science as well as other interdisciplinary programs. There is a 4-level underground garage that connects to the pre-existing garage under the Gordon E. Inman Center. The garage structure consists of 2-way post-tensioned concrete slabs with drop panels and concrete columns. The 5-story 88,000 square ft. upper building structure is comprised of 2-way concrete slabs with drop panels, concrete columns, perimeter concrete moment frame beams, and post-tensioned concrete transfer beams. The building houses a licensed campus pharmacy serving students, faculy, and staff while allowing students to gain hands on experience.
