Mt. View Elementary Gets a Math Garden

To celebrate 60 years of structural design consulting service in the Nashville community, 30 volunteers from Ross Bryan Associates, Inc., constructed an outdoor math garden at Mountain View Elementary School on October 16.   Ross Bryan volunteers built flower beds, laid pavers, installed sign posts, etc., that were specially designed to illustrate math concepts, such as geometric shapes, fractions, and decimals, while connecting these concepts to everyday life.

Quote from math specialist Teresa Dillehay (Mt. View Elementary):

I have been sitting outside in our math garden thinking about how grateful I am for what you all did for our boys and girls today.  My heart has been deeply touched with your generosity and kindness.  Words cannot express what a wonderful thing you all did today.  You took a dream and made it a reality.  You started with something small and made it so much greater. Each person that touched this plan made it even better.

My prayer for all of you is that your company gets a deep sense of pleasure knowing that they helped others.  I cannot think of a better way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ross Bryan Associates.  Most people get a cake and maybe have a dinner….not you guys……you served others.

You will be hearing from us for quite some time.  We were very blessed by you all today.  Thank you!  Teresa
